Biography - Tiffany Sparrow
With sun-kissed tones and soulful lyrics, Tiffany Sparrow offers music as a way to connect and heal.
Tiffany is an accomplished vocalist & multi-instrumentalist, certified music therapist (MTA), musicologist (MA) sound healer, yogi and body image coach. She's passionate about accessing sound and mindful practice as a powerful tool for body confidence and mental health.
In concert settings, Tiffany weaves her indie-folk original songs with curated cover tunes and mantras. Her soundbath journeys combine vibro-acoustic sound with guided meditation to promote deep rest and relaxation. Kirtan, the yoga of sound, is prayerful group singing. Tiffany is also an accredited music therapist (BMT, MTA), helping people with anxiety, depression, pain, head injury and eating disorders to transform and heal through music.
Tiffany has performed across Canada and internationally on multiple occasions. She’s been featured live on CTV morning and has performed with many well known new-age musicians like Jai Uttal, Dave Stringer, Shimshai, David Hickey and Fantuzzi. Tiffany has travelled extensively through India and Indonesia and brings her experience with global music for wellbeing to her performances and therapeutic work. She's been based in Edmonton since 2012.
Tiffany just released her debut solo project of original songs “Journey On” and will be releasing another album “Good Place” in early 2021. Find these and her other world fusion mantra recordings ("Soundevotion" 2011; "Sharanam" 2013) online. The music she writes is a testament to her healing journey.
Tiffany holds a degree in music therapy (BMT, MTA) from Wilfrid Laurier University. She also has her Master of Arts in ethnomusicology (MA) through the University of Alberta, and her thesis research describes the health benefits of group chanting (kirtan). She's presented at several conferences, worked on research teams and taught a music therapy elective course for four terms at the U of A through St. Stephen’s College.
Tiffany is a certified yoga teacher (ERYT 500) and has trained in posture, mindfulness and mantra in Canada and in India since 2004 with her teachers Yogrishi Vishvketu and Sri Sakthi Amma. She has co-facilitated dozens of yoga teacher trainings.

Tiffany is devoted to providing mindful music for wellness because it was the key to her own healing from multiple eating disorders. Mindful sound reached into places that talk therapy and medication couldn’t and she's now committed to helping others find similar deep body-image liberation.
Tiffany has founded the Hangups to Harmony Initiative with her Reclaim Your Radiance Immersion, a group and individual program designed to help women and girls ditch body baggage and find the freedom of true radiance, confidence and vibrant-self love through music, songwriting and other means. She intends to help as many people as possible through music and embodied practice to find the grace of remembering who they really are.
